Welcome

One of her most memorable experiences came while visiting a small seaside town in Greece. Sitting with locals beneath olive trees overlooking the water, she was offered mountain tea sweetened lightly with honey and shared alongside fresh bread and conversation. No one was in a hurry. People laughed, talked, and simply enjoyed being present with one another. It reminded her that tea is not just about flavor — it’s about peace, connection, and taking time to breathe.

Another unforgettable moment happened in Accra, Ghana, where Dr. Alston spent time with vendors and families who welcomed her warmly into their daily routines. Over spiced teas and herbal blends made from fresh local ingredients, she experienced the generosity, joy, and sense of togetherness that surrounded every shared cup. Those moments stayed with her long after she returned home.

Inspired by these experiences and guided by a passion for health, wellness, organic ingredients, and sustainable living, Dr. Alston created Ase Tea House as a peaceful retreat for the community. A place where people from all walks of life can slow down, connect, and enjoy thoughtfully curated teas in a calm and welcoming environment.

At Ase Tea House, we invite you to savor a serene tea experience inspired by the elegance of English High Tea and the rich traditions of African, South American, Japanese, and Chinese tea ceremonies. Our tranquil setting offers the perfect space for meaningful conversation while enjoying a carefully curated selection of organic teas. We are dedicated to sourcing the finest ingredients, ensuring every cup is both wholesome and memorable.

Whether you come to relax, reconnect, or simply enjoy a quiet moment to yourself, Dr. Alston welcomes you to share in the peaceful experience that Ase Tea House was built to offer.

Meet Our Tea Master

Dr. Robbin Alston, founder of Ash Tea House, first discovered her love for tea while studying school psychology in Philadelphia. What began as a simple daily ritual soon became something deeper — a quiet moment of peace in the middle of busy days, long study nights, and meaningful conversations with friends and strangers alike. Over time, that appreciation grew into a lifelong journey.Rather than traveling the world in search of the “best” cup of tea, Dr. Alston traveled to experience the stories, traditions, and connections that tea creates across cultures. From small village gatherings to bustling city cafés, she learned that tea has a unique way of bringing people together, slowing life down, and creating space for reflection and community.
